I'm not really sure I'm seeing anything that isn't the logical continuation of the move from low-level languages to higher level languages, and from lots of bespoke software to frameworks and libraries. A big pile of Zapier gunk might be brittle, but I think tools like it are a natural progression in a society where everything is dependent on computers. To me it's part of "Everyone should learn to code".
