The field of gender studies is chock full of "men this, women that" generalisations. Where do you think terms like "mansplaining" come from? Yet gender studies professors keep their jobs.
- plorkyeran 7y agoThe word "mansplaining" was coined by the writer Rebecca Solnit, who is not a professor and is not particularly involved in the field of gender studies.
- klipt 7y agoBut if you search "mansplaining" on Google scholar now, you'll find plenty of gender studies propagating its use.
