- chihuahua 7y ago"Fuchs" (pronounced fooks) is the German word for "Fox", and the other variants (Fux etc) have the same pronunciation. The flower Fuchsia is named after someone called Fuchs, and therefore the correct pronunciation is "fook-seeah", not "foo-shah".
