Every time I've tried to run AArch64 like a desktop (mostly via ODROIDs), it's been an exercise in misery. Endless tweaking, and almost always an important service, like 3D graphics or audio, doesn't work. Last I checked the driver situation there is just lacking

No problem playing YouTube videos, either, even at 1.5x speed. Editing 3D CAD files using Freecad in Debian 10 has also worked great. The only things I miss are being able to run the latest versions of some software, which are often compiled only for x86 or MacOS. For instance, I'm currently stuck on Debian's Firefox ESR (currently Firefox 68.4) because Firefox doesn't offer precompiled binaries for AArch64 on Linux.
