Pretty much all states sell this data. It's vital for auto insurance companies to be able to get up-to-date driving records for policy quotes.

- dmitrygr 7y agoWhen my bank wants my 1040 for refinance request, I fill out a form allowing the IRS to release it to them. No reason the DMV couldn't do the same. If an insurance company wants my info, I can fill out and sign a form allowing the DMV to release the info to them. Else, they don't need it!
