Every one of these stories always seems to have the common theme that at some point Google HR seems to step in in a really big-brother/creepy way and start saying the employee has been tagged for poor performance. It always seems to happen as soon as someone starts to get in the way of a "Do some Evil" project. They also always seem to have this pattern of trying to move the person to a do-nothing job to try and keep the whole thing quiet. It's really, really creepy. Kind of makes you want to put Google on a "Do not ever ever interview with" list.
