I’m using HiDPI on Linux/KDE and haven’t had any issues for a long time. Windows can’t be much worse. I think you need to reevaluate. 1080p might be fine for a phone. There’s nothing ‘sweet’ about blurry text[1] on a lowDPI laptop screen, in my opinion. Especially if you’re buying new. Paying real money for obolete tech makes no sense.
