It was very positive. This was back when we had 'ratings' like On Target, Above Target, Significantly Above Target, etc. I only joined a couple of months before the review period so it was not really a full review. I got positive feedback which told me that if I continue on the same track I'll be performing well above target in the next review. I got a nice raise and bonus. Eventually we got rid of the rating system, but the reviews have come with useful feedback and a decent compensation bump in the form of bonuses, salary, and RSUs each year.
