I hear this a lot: "Wellll, Machine Learning isn't TRUE artificial intelligence..." Seriously people: are you THAT insecure? I realize it is a cutthroat hiring

I hear this a lot: "Wellll, Machine Learning isn't TRUE artificial intelligence..." Seriously people: are you THAT insecure? I realize it is a cutthroat hiring market and companies are stuffing extra zeroes onto signing bonuses to get anyone with an AI background, so maybe there is lots of jealousy and FOMO. I dunno, but it seems awfully gatekeep-y all of a sudden.
