- wutbrodo 7y agoI'm not sure that is the lesson. I don't doubt that maps are hard, but there are plenty of capable people making decent ones all the time (the OP article contains a link to BBC's own visualizations). All of the issues described in the linked article are complete sloppiness or dishonesty, not mistakes due to the difficulties of map visualizations.
