- unlinked_dll 7y agoWelp it’s not around anymore hence the disadvantage of not getting money for unspent PTO
- photonios 7y agoAlmost every company in Europe? I've got 26 days I can take whenever I want. That's excluding legal holidays. Some countries have a lower minimum, the country where I live the legal minimum is 21 (4.2 weeks), but 5+ weeks of paid holiday a year is quite common.
- dev_north_east 7y agoWell depends on the country more than company, doesn't it? I have 34 days PTO this year, which is not out of the norm for my peers and broadly in line with previous employers.
- zapperdapper 7y agoYeah most companies in Europe I would say. Even in a non-unlimited PTO company you'd get at least 25 days (paid) typically plus 8 paid public holidays in addition. At some companies you can give up 'points' to get more paid time off. I think at Oracle UK I could get up to 46 paid days off by using up some perk points (actually not that many). Not sure if they still do that. The legal minimum in UK is 28 days paid leave for full-time workers, but that includes 8 days paid for public holidays.
