- nkrisc 7y agoBut you're not taking it at face value, you're evaluating the English translation, not what people are chanting (unless you do in fact speak Farsi). Translation is not a 1:1 affair much of the time.
- jrs95 7y agoYes obviously “death” can be used in more than one way, when it’s chanted in combination with violence I think it’s safe to assume it’s probably the more literal interpretation
