Yes, but as a newly hired CTO, you want a win...and failing that, a loss you can defend to a non-technical CEO. "Industry leader" or "we already are in bed with them" is a reason the non-technical CEO can understand.

- scarface74 7y agoThe saying that “no one ever got fired for buying IBM” didn’t come out of thin air back in the day. Few people get to be CTO without knowing the politics and perceptions involved with dealing with corporate America.
