  Stress is a generic, non-specific term. I think the important change to improve the treatment of diabetes would be to stop treating it as a chronic condition, and making an effort to figure out what's actually behind the symptom of pancreatic dysfunction/insulin resistance resulting in high blood sugar. Bodies can recover if they're given a chance.
