Sidenote : just had a random thought reading linus talking about not fighting the scheduler: are there common theoretical problems between a garbage collector / memory allocator (aka : automatic handling of memory resource) and a scheduler (aka : automatic handling of cpu resource) ? Could there be some kind of super abstraction solving common issues to both problem in a more mathematical approach ?
