I take the view that the build turning red in CI should be a show-stopping surprise. But given the sheer volume of automation that occurs now I've seen that standard slowly abandoned from sheer signal fatigue. It's hard to notice a red box when you have hundreds of boxes on-screen and there are a sprinkle of reds. I'm not sure if I like that state of affairs. It feels like eroding goals or a capability trap.
