Thanks for the feedback, that's super helpful. I suppose in a way you are my target market since you're unhappy with current clients though. If I do go ahead and finish making it, would you be willing to try it in exchange for more of this valuable feedback?
Thanks so much.
- wingerlang 7y agoI don't think he is the target market at all, the target is likely "extreme minimalists", people who theme their setup more than actually use it.
- ybbond 7y agothis comment defines me as a devices user :D
- latexr 7y agoI’ve reread my comment multiple times and still have no idea what about it makes you assume I’m not such a user. I can unequivocally say you’re wrong.
- wingerlang 7y agoYour comment seemed to focus on the practicality of it. And I'm saying that people who would love this care more about the style of it, not how it actually works to use it. I don't think you can have it both ways.
- latexr 7y ago> I suppose in a way you are my target market since you're unhappy with current clients though. If I do go ahead and finish making it, would you be willing to try it in exchange for more of this valuable feedback? Usually yes, but not in this case. While we’re both unhappy with current email clients, the problem you’re solving is not the problem I have. They’re not even in the same category, as your issue is interface-related and mine are experience-related. For that reason, I’m not the right user to steer your app to the best version it can be, and that should be the goal of a tester. I do wish you luck, though. And even if it doesn’t turn out profitable, I hope you at least get your favourite email client out of the experience.
