It is a unique way to learn about another persons interior universe and gain additional perspective on the world. It is still the case, I believe, that the very best writers publish their writing in print — books or reputable magazines. Obviously they are online too but more are in print. And if you consider works which are seminal in their field or have withstood the test of time —— print. Lastly there are studies showing that our brains process information differently when reading from a book Or magazine (or even a printed out PDF, probably) because of the physical interaction occurring along with the mental one (or something like that). There are definitely people who find it easier to learn in other ways and that is totally legit. If you haven’t tried though you should give it a shot.
