They say it doesn't apply to Canada. What prevents a Chinese company to open a business in Canada and get access to US A.I software without the license?
- hawkice 7y agoCanada counts as the US for several national security purposes. There's a lot of cooperation to prevent this type of loophole.
- La1n 7y agoCan you point to some of that cooperation or legislation regarding it, that sounds quite interesting.

- cdmckay 7y agoWhen they had the cryptography restriction, I’m pretty sure it was still ok in Canada to export it. That’s why OpenBSD is based in Calgary.
