It is a strange object but when you call it scout/messenger aren't you already very biased? Voyager 1 is sending data we could never predict so how unlikely is

It is a strange object but when you call it scout/messenger aren't you already very biased? Voyager 1 is sending data we could never predict so how unlikely is it that this is the first object that will give us new info about space? I understand we must be open for every option but to me it is more likely that we are learning new laws of space than that we are found by aliens.
