Would help them justify the long tail of updates, patches, etc. and make a ban easier to enforce - block the cheater's credit card.
Make it a premium service for all I care, with premium only servers. Origin Premium doesn't do crap.
- watermelon0 7y agoYou can get prepaid debit cards in many countries, and many banks (especially modern, mobile-based) offer disposable virtual debit cards. They could require debit/credit cards backed by a bank account (not completely sure how those differ to disposable/prepaid ones), but that would prevent some legitimate users from buying the subscription.
- seattle_spring 7y agoWoW Classic is dealing with a huge botting and cheating problem, and the only response from Activision-Blizzard has been to do periodic ban waves maybe once every other month.
