Wow. I guess that's why China has a Strategic Pork Reserve[1]. I thought the Pork Reserve was funny the first time i heard about it, but it's not so much now.

- pergadad 7y agoNot as funny as Canada's strategic maple syrup reserve which at some point was actually stolen...
- schainks 7y agoOnly part of the reserve was stolen. There is an episode of the Netflix docuseries "Dirty Money" dedicated to the theft and the Maple Syrup market.
