There is clearly a world outside of "Twitter outrage culture", but depending on your industry, it is no less sharp and toxic, and not isolated from the Twittersphere. Several otherwise decent people I've known over the years have had an awakening of vindictive bloodlust coinciding with an ascent into the HR establishment. Their words and actions in everyday life echo the sickness on Twitter.
