I have travelled here from the early 90s and I gotta say it seems more like a parlor trick (voice recognition plus a much larger, more sophisticated, networked Eliza) than true AI. But that's the AI problem in a nutshell: Once we've figured out how to do something it no longer seems like an AI problem. The computer in Star Trek is just a smart speaker. Lt. Cmdr. Data is AI.
