I work on this full-time; it's my only source of income. I don't think it's especially capitalist or nihilist to shield yourself from potential abuse by actual nihilist capitalist who will stop at nothing to make a buck. Not doing so would be naïve. Being called a "nihilist capitalist" for quitting your day job for working on open source software is certainly a rather ... curious ... experience.
