I've personally managed to get the redo test suite to pass on Win32, running inside a port of BusyBox: https://github.com/pclouds/busybox-w32 https://github.com/pclouds/busybox-w32 Yes, it's an extra download, but a 500kb standalone executable is much nicer than the hundreds of megabytes required by Cygwin or MSYS.
