It’s worth mentioning that this post is focused on USA and (unsurprisingly) highlights Bay Area. I’m sure the points exposed apply there but there are many other places in the USA and the rest of the world where this doesn’t apply and you can find good talent without needing to offer an exorbitant paycheck.
