You realise that the Ethiopian pilot also 'knew what to do' and was still vapourised? Knowing what to do is insufficient if the computer is trying its hardest to kill you. I'm sure they have neutered the software enough that it is much harder for it to kill you when it comes back, but the fact that MCAS still exists and is operational should put at least half a twist in your stomach when you get on one of these things. Any less is bravado.
