I'm not a supporter of Bloomberg's candidacy, but we need to thank him and other tech leaders who are contributing to Democratic politics, especially the political infrastructure we so desperately need. Critics are right to be skeptical about rich people spending a lot of money in politics, but that doesn't automatically mean every big money tech political initiative is in the wrong. In the eyes of tech critics, tech is either not engaged enough in politics, or we're donating too much to political organizations, or we're turned away from directly giving money to Warren and other progressives. Can someone tell me what critics really want the tech community to do aside from cease to exist?
