This is not the norm AFAIK. Matching at my previous companies has been proportionally into the mutual funds I had selected as part of my portfolio.
- karmelapple 7y agoMaybe this is an aviation industry thing. At a not-Boeing company, I believe all of our 401k match was company stock, although we could move it to other funds after it came in as company stock.
