My dictionary includes that, as well as "a state of affairs or an event that seems deliberately contrary to what one expects and is often amusing as a result." which would be the definition pertaining to my comment, as I didn't expect that name as it was contrary to the authors comments, and I found it amusing as a result.

  That isn't what I said. I said I found the contrast amusing at face value, which doesn't mean I assumed anything about the person.
