The GDP of countries is now proportional to the availability of these natural resources. So from now on, people will get poorer and poorer, leading to politic instability, civil war, and the like. We have been warned in 1972, with the Club of Rome, and they survey, "The limits to Growth". Now, we have reached those limits.
