I fix AWS bills for a living, and I wouldn’t dream of saying whether this was a smart move or not without a careful look at the infrastructure, the financial model of the business, and a series of discussions with the engineering and finance teams. Somehow HN experts can bypass all of that and do what I do full time with basically no information about the company in question. I really should hire a few of them.
