- refurb 7y agoThis is a fascinating exercise from an ethics point of view. Novartis has limited manufacturing capacity, but will allocate a percent as free drug. How do you best choose who gets it? A lottery does seem the most fair. Each patient has an equal chance of getting treatment. But it also leaves a bad test in people’s mouth - why should my life be dictated by a lottery.
