We're not worthy of the great knowledge we have here, likely from a non-economist that read the book and doesn't understand the historical significance or lineage of economic thought that it kicked off. A book a really enjoy on this topic is "The Mind and the Market" by Jerry Z. Muller. There are other history of economic thought books, but that one is my favorite.
