First they came for the communists,
and I didn't speak out because I wasn't a communist.
Then they came for the trade unionists,
and I didn't speak out because I wasn't a trade unionist.
Then they came for the Jews,
and I didn't speak out because I wasn't a Jew.
Then they came for me
and there was no one left to speak out for me.
Only a moments thought should be enough to demonstrate why this should matter to anyone with a site 'web-based business' or no.
- biot 16y agoThis is a perversion of the original meaning. The "angry TorrentFreak user's" version is essentially the same as: First they came for the manufacturers of counterfeit products, and I didn't speak out because I didn't manufacture counterfeit products. Then they came for those who served alcoholic beverages to six year olds, and I didn't speak up because I didn't do that. Then they came for people who sold phony insurance products to seniors, and I didn't speak up because I wasn't selling phony insurance products. Then they came for me and there was no one left to speak out for me.
