Bash, Python, Go would be my order of preference. Although C, gcc, libc, make tool chain makes more sense if you're into os/kernel/networking areas.

- BossingAround 7y agoThis, in the order above... Bash -> Python -> Go. Though I suspect if the OP's been in infra for years now, they will know Bash (or are a Windows infra guy, in which case I wonder whether any programming/scripting is necessary other than PS).
