I prefer the term "NISQ Era" (Noisy Intermediate-Scale Quantum) Way more descriptive. Provides a flavor for the immense challenge of building 100+ qubit computers that can run for a long time, and discovering real-world applications beyond generating random strings. "Ascendancy" et al imply the day has already arrived. When in fact there is a chance it may never come. Or some other paradigm may pop up and intercede ;)
