Well I have heard narratives about white kids in poorer neighborhoods not applying for that gas station/fast food job because they see it as something that the immigrants do. And then getting stuck in a poverty trap leading to crime. The solutions to that from conservatives is obviously reduce immigration. Progressives need to think about how these kind of dynamics can be changed.
