How do you know they don't love the forest as if it is their own mother and father? Do you really think that they haven't seen their world destroyed around them, by us, and fear that their world is hanging on by a thread? Do you really think that if they wanted to be part of our world, they wouldn't come out of the forest; even out of simple curiosity? I think raganwald is spot on.
