"Do you want to be on the side of eminent intelligentsia...or on the other?"
That's a false dilemma (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/False_dilemma http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/False_dilemma) if I've ever heard one. It might serve a point to demonstrate the correlation between intelligence and religion, but what point does it serve to draw a line and call everyone on the other side stupid?
- JoeAltmaier 16y agoIt may seem that the intelligentsia are a 'side' because they tend to have similar values. Consider their values are often the result of critical analysis, instead of an accident of upbringing. That can narrow the distribution among them. So no, they are not a side, they are a group characterized by logic and clear thinking who arrive at similar conclusions about the world and their place in it.
