  Forbrydelsen. In Danish, the indefinite article (en, et) can be suffixed to nouns to make them definite. Example: en dreng = a boy, whereas drengen = the boy. “Son” is not extremely common, even in patronyms. Usually the “son of” suffix in Denmark would be “sen” as well (Frederiksen, Carlsen, Poulsen).
