There are some GNU Makefiles that invoke `make` manually instead of `$(MAKE)`. On FreeBSD, where `make` is bmake, this is a pain in the ass.

- asveikau 7y agoI agree that would be bad, but I haven't personally seen a lot of that. Increasing awareness of the $(MAKE) variable I guess would be the solution.
