There will be some unintended consequences of this law, and I am pretty sure the legislature will adjust and evolve. But I find it weird that there are businesses who just wants to get way by outsourcing the core part of the business to contractors. What is the point of employment law then ? Supercuts is one big example of that (and they got an exemption from AB 5).
