I think a lot of the confusion comes from the fact that everybody defines "AI" differently. To me, AI = self consciousness, anything less is just fancy ML. If you ask the question "are we going to have self-conscious machines in 30 years" I would bet against it. If anyone has any reason to bet _for_ it, I'd like to hear those reasons :)
