Does that take into account the overhead of operating Huginn?
- PatrolX 7y agoYes, and it's running thousands of requests and posts / minute on AWS. But you don't even need to put it in the cloud, it runs perfectly at home on an old box running Ubuntu.
- tectonic 7y agoThat's awesome that it's working so well for you :)
- vorpalhex 7y agoYou can deploy it as a docker image in a few minutes. If you already run a homelab of any sort (which most of HN does), it's basically free.
- boring_twenties 7y ago> If you already run a homelab of any sort (which most of HN does) You sure about that? I feel like there are plenty of folks on here whose only computer is a MacBook
- neop1x 7y agoI have one box acting as a router, NAS, DVB-T receiver, NAS and the other box as HTPC. Both are based on desktop motherboards and I also run Kubernetes (kubeadm) on them, with more CPU-intensive tasks assigned to non-HTPC so it doesn't interrupt movie playback. But yes, I think it is not common, it takes time to set up and maintain.
- PatrolX 7y agoI've run Huginn on a MacBook. It works fine, along with a whole bunch of other stuff in Docker.
