If only it was possible to have a family with three kids anywhere near the office. Instead, decades of bad planning policy have jacked housing costs beyond all reason, forcing people like me to move very far from work.
- souprock 7y agoI have twelve kids just 0.9 miles from the office. Between home and office I pass houses on 0.25 acre lots that go for about $250,000. That is paying a premium to be by the ocean. Just a few miles away, where there are more jobs, similar houses go for about $150,000. Choose a small city in a low-cost state, and you can have this too.
