I have tried to use Gitmoji and other standards before on a few projects but I have since stopped. The motivation behind it makes a lot of sense but I can count the number of instances where I have used the emojis as a cue to find problematic commits with one hand. That being said, I never really thought about the point about forcing you to ensure your commit is atomic. I definitely have become better at it but the habit has stuck even after using Gitmoji.
