Sure, the basic service is a subscription. If you want to customize the knocking pattern or have an alternative wake-up method like playing a melody or even a light-show in front of your window, you can do so with paid microtransactions. Or get one of the fancy MTX 'cheaper' by buying a mystery loot box and being lucky! Also do not forget the challenges! Being already awake before the drone arrives for 30 consecutive days also grants an (entry-tier) microtransaction (available once per household, requires the same person to be awake every day), better ones are available for up to 730 consecutive days to give you a feeling of pride and accomplishment!
