Comcast actually gets around this problem by restarting all of the boxes in your house at 2:00 AM local time, I believe, at which point it will grab updates for the applications on the box. Of course, if you like to watch TV late at night, it’s a problem, but I bet they did the numbers on that internally before people called angry because their PPV movie went away.
